Renfrew District Christian School (RDCS) is an independent school located in Renfrew, Ontario. 

About Us

RDCS provides a Christian education to elementary school students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade Eight. RDCS has been in the community since 1985, and is one of 1,700 independent schools in Canada.

RDCS belongs to the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools which is the largest and most established (1952) independent school organization in Canada. With 75 schools and over 11,000 students, the choice for independent education is strongly supported in Ontario. Through its provincial organization, RDCS is also a member of Christian Schools Canada and the Federation of Independent Schools in Canada. Our curriculum is in line with the education standards of the provincial government. RDCS is a faith-based school, and we are also a non-denominational school. As Christians, we simply share a common faith in Jesus Christ.

Our Educational Programming

The programming at RDCS is designed to integrate faith and learning into all subject areas. The school curriculum is led by the curriculum that is established by the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools and Christian Schools International. These organizations ensure that member schools have a quality program that meets or exceeds the Ontario Ministry of Education standards, and provides for a strong foundation for the lives of children. RDCS teaching staff and the school’s program committee regularly review the curriculum to ensure the content is current and maintains high standards in education.

Our Governance

Renfrew & District Christian School is governed by a Board of Directors. This flexible method of decision-making allows parents to have real input into their child's education. Your suggestions, comments and ideas are heard directly by people who you have elected to make choices for the School.

We find that because parents know their voices are heard at RDCS, they have a high interest and support of the activities their child is involved with at the School. This welcoming and effective administrative environment encourages parent interest and participation.

How We Are Funded

Renfrew & District Christian School is funded through tuition, fundraising and donations from individuals and organizations.  

While we do have a tuition cost associated with attending our school, our tuition rates are very reasonable for the quality of education that your child receives at RDCS. We offer flexible payment options that include monthly payments and lump sum annual payments. Our goal is to make a Christian education available to those who wish it.

It is also worth noting that a significant portion of tuition is tax deductible.
