Whitewater Region
Referred to as the Whitewater Capital of Canada, the Region is named for its many world-class Whitewater facilities. Many tourism operators also offer a variety of paddle sports as well as land activities including hiking, cycling and wildlife trails. With more than 160 kilometres of waterfront and home of the famous Muskrat Lake, superior fishing for pickerel, bass and pike, to name just a few, can be found. Along with the arrival of autum comes several local community Fall Fairs and Rural Ramble, a self-guided driving tour of local attrations throughout the County of Renfrew including numerous stops in Whitewater Region. Get your camera ready - don't miss viewing the vibrant colours of the autumn leaves from high atop the Scenic Lookout. As the snow gently falls, Whitewater Region is transformed into a winter wonderland offering miles of groomd snowmobile trails, ice fishing, skating and winter carnivals.
