Forward Thinking has two divisions of their business: marketing and a media group.
Forward Thinking Marketing
Launched in 2006, Forward Thinking Marketing works with businesses and organizations and consults on best approaches for promoting their business. Our goal is to "quarterback" the marketing of the business. If we are the point of contact for all promotional opportunities, we can create consistency in the message and maximize the promotional budget for the client. We have taken the time to investigate opportunities for promotion, and can guide businesses more effectively because of our experience.
In most cases, Forward Thinking becomes the marketing department of the business, dealing with all media sales inquiries and working on all promotional elements that are required. Forward Thinking also consults on an individual basis as a first step for business growth and success.
All consulting work is prefaced by research into the business industry and customer profiles. If you don't know what your customer wants, then your marketing is nothing more than guesswork. Forward Thinking believes that success comes from knowing how to build rapport with potential customers, both before and after they walk through your door.
Marketing research, planning and consulting are the key services of our business. These are complemented by:

Over the past few years, our marketing work has led to the creation of media products to suit the needs of the business community.
Ottawa Valley Business (ovbusiness.com)
OVB is our flagship media product, having been launched in June 2006 as a way to reach the business community in the Ottawa Valley Region. Published monthly via email, OVB reaches more than 2,500 subscribers in the business community, and operates as the most effective vehicle in promoting to other businesses. In 2008, OVB launched ovbusiness.com as an online complement to further assist the business community in promotional opportunities.
Subsribing to OVB is free. Advertising in the publication and online is avaiable.
Ottawa Valley Health (ovhealth.ca)
Ottawa Valley Health was created as an avenue for health-related businesses and organizations to build awareness of their products and services. Focusing on those people who are looking to participate fully in their own healthcare, ovhealth.ca is a business-friendly and consumer friendly online health resource.
More than 70% of online Canadians are searching for health information, and ovhealth.ca provides an excellent venue for local health information and service providers who are committed to getting people healthier now.
Ottawa Valley Jobs (ovjobs.ca)
Ottawa Valley Jobs is an online job board for businesses in the Ottawa Valley and surrouding regions. Employers can post an individual job ($75) on ovjobs.ca or can opt into a package that reduces the cost per ad. All the information is available on the website.
DowntownPembroke.com
DowntownPembroke.com is a web initiative to market the City of Pembroke's core commercial area. As a marketed and successful tool to assist with downtown revitalization, downtownpembroke.com serves as the resource site for businesses and consumers seeking information on businesses in this district.
This initiative is especially unique in that it operates without funding from any government organization. We are not affiliated with the City of Pembroke or the resident BIA group. This independence allows us a tremendous amount of flexibility in being able to capitalize on opportunities for promotion of our member businesses.
